Situated in the picturesque Kanimbla Valley and named after the Aboriginal word for cockatoo, Wayimaa Cottage is a lovely French inspired rural escape for two discerning guests that is tucked ever so comfortably in its surroundings and boasts wonderful views of the Kanimbla Valley.

Your stay at Wayimaa Cottage will be unquestionably one-of-a-kind and we hope that your experience will refresh your spirit. When you arrive, you will meander your way down the long, beautiful drive which leads to your rural getaway and the beauty of the locally obtained stone used to create this unusual Adult Escape hideaway. It will have you believing you've stumbled upon a farm house in the French countryside.

We are offering an early check-in at 1pm and a late checkout at 11am.

The owners inspired by their personal holiday travels in France, fueled their ambition to design Wayimaa Cottage so that they could share their experience with guests back in Australia. Details include the lovely master suite, which is reached by a locally rescued semi-circular, industrial styled staircase that leads to the Queen bedroom upstairs. The ensuite bathroom is light filled with a deep bathtub where you can relax with bubbles whilst taking in the unending magnificent valley views. The upstairs level also has a large study with free WiFi in case you need to stay connected to the outside world.

Downstairs you can relax in the spacious, open plan, living and dining and the gourmet kitchen is just perfect for an informal intimate dinner. The kitchen is part of an open plan area with the dining room. The fully equipped gourmet Kitchen has modern appliances which includes an electric oven and induction cook top, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, espresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and ample crockery and cutlery.

Wayimaa Cottage is located on part of a large rural cattle property and is just 20 minutes away from Blackheath or Lithgow. We suggest that you stock up on culinary essentials on your way to your accommodation because once you've arrived, you won't want to leave this slice of paradise. If you do want to venture out and explore the area there are many amazing walking tracks & tourist attractions nearby. Mayfield Gardens, Jenolan Caves, The Grand Canyon and The Three Sisters just to name a few.

Summary: The cottage was so quaint. It was very clean and always warm. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely book again. I needed a place to relax as my work has been stressful and it was the perfect place to do this. Thank you
