Escape the city and burbs and make your next getaway to our cosy, rustic cabin. Privately nestled on over 22 acres of lush grazing paddocks, bordering Rocky and Terania Creeks in Bundjalung Country in the Byron Hinterland.
Welcome to The Channon Vintage Farm Bales. This was once where the cows were milked, back in the olden days. It's since been converted into a 1 bedder cabin and offers rustic charm...better than Glamping!
The bedroom is dreamy, the original dairy creamery. Featuring a queen size bed, with vaulted ceiling and hanging mozzie net and walk in robe. Quite romantic!
The open plan living is very comfortable, dining for 4, 3 seater leather lounge, leather swivel chair and ottoman, fireplace, mini library, telescope and board games.
Fully equipped kitchen with stove, airfryer, fridge, electric kettle and toaster, all the equipment you need for your getaway, even a picnic basket!
Bathroom with hot and cold shower and real flushing toilet off the deck.
French doors open onto a big deck, with BBQ, table and chairs and our swinging egg chair to take in the beautiful vistas and breeze.
Deck is also ideal for yoga. Step down from the deck to the lawn and gardens and outdoor shower.
We allow extra people, a maximum of 4 adults, with an electric self pumping queen size airbed available for extra fee.
Fish from our creek, with bass, carp, perch and catfish. Pat our cows and baby calves. We have chickens and a pig that you're welcome to pat. There's a fire-pit, for evenings to star-gaze the Milky Way like never before.
Towels, sheets and bedding provided.
Condiments, tea and coffee plunger provided.
Just organise your food, clothes, swimmers, surfboard and fishing rod.
The Bales are pet friendly for 1 pet. Sunny deck and fenced yard, please BYO your pet's own bedding.
We ask that you keep pets leashed when outside the fenced area of The Bales and on at all times around the entire 22 acre farm property. Pickup their poos please.
On arrival, Just park your car out the front of The Bales.
All cars are to park on the grass out the front of The Bales. Note that it is not covered parking.
Please do not park or block in the main driveway, as this is the owners' access.
We're only 2 mins drive, a nice walk, to renowned Channon Art and Craft Markets held every second Sunday of the month.
A 5 mins drive to general store, and note: this is a 50km zone. Be aware of native and native wildlife.
General Store,Bottle shop and petrol station only 5 mins drive plus The Channon Tavern, with great meals and kids playground, live music most weekends.
We are 15 mins to Clunes, great place for coffee,
20 mins to Lismore Saturday Showground Farmers Markets, Shopping Centre for food supplies,
30 mins to beautiful Bangalow and 40 mins to world famous Byron Bay.
Ballina Airport is approx 50 mins away.
We are also only 30 mins to Nimbin, where you can get your rainbow fix.
Local waterfalls and dams from 15 mins away.
