These rooms are part of the three-story Topaz Drea Palace with a total of 8 bedrooms, including an attached apartment that sleeps 3. There is also an amazing rooftop Cloud 9 suite with AC, queen bed, wardrobe, kitchenette, cable TV, sparkling lights on the ceiling, fans, and a Jacuzzi/bathroom.
Our guests love the feel of the neighborhood and settle in 'right at home'. Reggae music is usually wafting through the air from the nearby corner of indoor markets, takeout food, ice cream, and other local neighborhood services. Mackies, a well-known local sports bar, is about 6 blocks away. There are churches in the area. It’s just a short drive from the airport, the “hip strip” for dancing, shopping, and beaches, the straw market for local crafts, carvings, and clothing, the experience of downtown and suburban health food store/vegan restaurants, pharmacies, bookstores, and large supermarkets.
Savor mountain spring water, coconut water, pineapple, soursop, cherry, and mango juices, Ting (carbonated grapefruit), sorrel, ginger beer, rum cream, Red Stripe beer, and the nutritious tea from moringa or soursop leaves (from our backyard tree).
You can enjoy the living room, kitchen, and verandas and hammock. All are welcome to the roof deck. Two suites (on 1st and 2nd floors) and the apartment have separate entrances but can be joined for larger groups. (plus the roof top suite.)
One Love Suite: two bedrooms; Hummingbird with queen bed, sofa, and ensuite bath, plus the Blue Mahoe queen bedroom (Blue Mahoe is national tree, the wood makes beautiful carved furniture such as the bedhead and nightstand in this room.
These two bedrooms share a kitchen, dining/living area, and veranda with table/chairs, hammock, and EZ recliners. "We" hosts live on that floor as well.
