Positive: *LOCATION*: The motel is situated in a very good location. It's a 5min walk to the shops (general store, servo, bakery, creamery, cafe, chemist, restaurant and park), 7mins drive to Wonderland carpark where you can hike to The Pinnacle and other lookouts, and a 6min drive to Halls Gap Zoo (do not miss to see this! and pay the extra $3 to hand-feed the animals) *HOTEL*: Kelly and David are such lovely people. Easy to check in and out. We got upgraded (yay!) so we ended up having a queen + single bed. The room although dated is very clean and smells fresh. Sheets and towels are very white and smells clean. Decent sized bathroom, bed is comfortable, there are extra pillows and blankets, microwave, electric water kettle, glasses, utensils, cups, fridge, tea and coffee are provided. Parking is just outside your room. It was very quiet and peaceful. I like how you can just text them with whatever you need so you don't need to go/call reception with anything. We always eat out so I am not sure about the food on location. *HEAD'S UP*: Cicadas are noisy in the morning and arvo but will be quiet at night. Because of nature all around, kangaroos, cockatoos, crimson rosella and more can be seen in the property, this also includes some insects (no mozzies), and huntsman spiders which loves taking shelter in cars - check your cars before driving off (this is based on personal experience). Other than that, we had a lovely stay and restful sleep.
