Carrickalinga would easily have one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia at its doorstep. Set an hour south of Adelaide, it is within walking distance to Normanville, and a short drive to Yankallilla. Day drives can be taken to Victor Harbour, Cape Jervis, or to visit Deep Creek Conservation Park. Perhaps just sit back and relax on the balcony, sipping wine watching the setting sun after a day of swimming in the clear waters. The choice is yours.
Carrickalinga is located near the town of Normanville, with two beaches, the north and south beach. The northern beach which this house overlooks, is truly beautiful. Crystal clear waters, with regular visits by dolphins, there are rock pools on the point between the two beaches where kids can explore for crabs and catch fish. The beach is often protected against the winds, with a walking / running track from Normanville past the front door of the property. Alternatively, on a lovely day walk along the beach for half an hour to the jetty at Normanville for a coffee.
We are offering the use of a lovely large home. The decking has views straight over the beautiful Carrickalinga beach. Reverse cycle air conditioners both upstairs and downstairs, as well as a ducted evaporated air conditioner upstairs if you prefer to have the doors upstairs open to the sea breeze.
Please note there is no Wifi supplied.
All beds are freshly made with clean towels supplied.
The upstairs living area has a well appointed kitchen open to the dining and main lounge area with television. Spencer gulf is visible north to west, with the setting sun visible to the west. Also upstairs are two queen size bedrooms and a renovated bathroom with bath. The large deck overlooking the north beach at Carrickalinga has an outdoor setting with seating for all. Unfortunately, due to gusts and umbrellas being left open and destroyed, we do not have an umbrella on deck.
Downstairs another large living area, one queen size bedroom, one bedroom with 2 king singles, and a third bedroom with 2 king singles and 1 set of bunks. The wc and the shower are separate for easier use.
There is a large laundry with clothes washing machine, clothes dryer, another shower as a back up, with access to the enclosed rear yard and clothes line, which, unfortunately, children seem to want to swing from. We do repair it but this seems to happen continually, so be prepared for a crooked clothes line.
