Summary: Got directed to a room, check in staff nice, room was easy to access with no dramas apart from general common space cleanliness upstairs. Went into my room and there were rubbish bags, empty cigarette boxes, leftover alcohol/rubbish, a messy bed, and dead moths. The room had been like that a while and nobody has checked on it. I went back downstairs and the staff apologised and gave me a code for a different room. This one was much nicer, clearly ready for a guest. A few hours later someone opens my door as I’m about to leave for this evening. They were told they’d booked this room and were given the door code by the staff downstairs. I had to go down again to fix it up. Aside from the shared bathroom spaces that I avoided entirely (with good reason), the room was nice and functioned as advertised. The staff are lovely, and the downstairs area is really great, with good vibes good food and great setup, I just think the hotel part of the young street hotel needs a little more TLC. I hope managers see this and it helps them identify ways of improving cleanliness and organisation/coordination.
