As an architect, this house was designed for my family’s lifestyle – someone who has lived in the Caribbean and loved and celebrated the Caribbean life for over 40 years.

The Reefs has a spectacular location overlooking Cane Garden Bay and the famous Cane Garden surf break, with sunset and sunrise views. Very peaceful and private – a truly wonderful escape to start the day with that morning coffee overlooking Cane Garden.

Enter though a private courtyard, overlooking the pool and out to the bay, into a generous open plan living/dining area. The oversized sliding doors opens up the corner of the living room to the pool and spacious deck, with all of the living areas flowing seamlessly out to the deck.

The well equipped kitchen is a social space, with a large island where you can sit and chat while preparing meals. Dining can be inside or out on the deck overlooking the lights of Cane Garden Bay. A propane grill is provided for your al fresco dining evenings.

The house is exceptionally well insulated and the living areas are designed to maximize the benefits of the cooling BVI tradewinds which, combined with the options of the ceiling fans, provides a very comfortable environment throughout the year.

The sun deck has four loungers by the pool and there are plenty of options to retreat to relax in the shade with a good book – or just meditate watching the boating activity down in the bay.

You can retreat up the sculptural staircase to the main bedroom, – an oasis with a deck with the most stunning panoramic views The main bedroom has an extensive walk in closet and a bathroom to die for, with a double shower with a sliding glass door which opens up to allow you to shower al fresco with the bay. The second bedroom is equally generous, effectively another master suite, with the option of a bathtub. The third bedroom, at the lowest level of the house, has its own private deck and en-suite bathroom with shower. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.

The Reefs is a short walk from Cane Garden Bay beach and a short drive over to Apple Bay and Long Bay beaches. The fun and live music of Cane Garden Bay or Road Town are within easy reach and we can suggest plenty of options for excellent nearby restaurants offering local or international cuisine.

The Reefs is generously equipped with amenities to ensure that you have a wonderful BVI vacation – with the added benefit of an on-site generator, for those odd occasions when the BVI power supply takes a rest.
