Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location is fantastic, quiet, calm.. a very peaceful spot to spend a few days. Easy to get to not far out of Murray Bridge. Located in the Marina with access to a boat ramp if you have watercraft. Short drive to the amazing Wellington Hotel for a meal. The bath on the deck is large enough for 2 people, would be nice if it had a pull down blind to the side for a little extra privacy from the permanent neighbours though. House is very clean and modern, lots of nice little things on display, lots of windows. Nice appliances and there is tea/coffee and basic condiments on hand. The small wing chair is great, need to add a 2nd one and a pair of small ottomans. Bed was nice and comfy and the linen felt really nice. The wireless charger and dimmable lamp is a good addition.

Negative: Although there were lots of nice ornaments and bits and bobs the house didn't really portray a soft/romantic/moody atmosphere other than the view out of the windows and the outdoor bath. A bit too much bare white everywhere... a soft colour on the wall behind TV and some plants would soften it up a lot. The couch wasn't amazing to sit on and the sun chairs on the deck are not great, maybe some sort of long cushion to go on them is needed. For this price range every other place we've stayed at generally includes some breakfast provisions (milk/juice/bacon/eggs/ceral/bit of bread) and coloured to other float houses nearby this one lacks a bit of feel considering its around 100 a night dearer than it's competition. Only real issue we had was the terrible septic smell, it was horrendous by the 3rd day.. on 1st day there was a slight smell if water was run, but by the 3rd day it just lingered continuously and it was a bit off putting.

Summary: Great spot to float some time away.
