A stunning air conditioned king bed master suite with views across Spring Hill and a beautiful master ensuite are on the second floor. Complementing this architecturally striking home is private access to your own intimate eco-plunge-pool; perfect for relaxing on those steamy Brisbane summer nights. The library shelves are packed with travel books, contemporary novels and family games. In the bathroom you will find luxurious Appelles products, which all use certified organic oils, and native Australian extracts. An Appelles oil burner also adds unique ambiance and a lovely touch of romance. The kitchenette includes fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, organic tea/coffee, a toaster and if required, access to a BBQ. All of this air-conditioned luxury and convenience less than one kilometre easy stroll to the city centre or the pumping nightlife of Fortitude Valley/Chinatown.
The home itself, has been developed to demonstrate the principles of sustainable housing and is occasionally opened to the public to inspire and educate. It has featured on TV and in newspapers and in many home and lifestyle and enviro-magazines. All appliances are water and energy efficient, the lights are all LEDs. The house proves that the resort style contemporary lifestyle often demanded does not have to be at the expense of our at risk environment. The house is about as central as you can get in Brisbane. You can walk easily to the city centre (the main city shopping pedestrian mall and the business district), Fortitude Valley (entertainment central), the Brisbane River and Southbank Parklands. It is close to transport (buses at the top of the street and trains – central station is a 5 minute walk), shops, casual dining, parks, gymnasiums, bike and walking tracks. The suburb of Spring Hill is steeped in history as one of Brisbane’s oldest suburbs and the streets are full of quaint “Queenslander” style worker’s cottages. Isaac Street itself, although very central is remarkably quiet, with friendly neighbours, and you will often forget how close to the city and all the action you really are.
The eco-pod is designed to be intimate and romantic, and light, open and airy - please check the photos. You may even catch glimpses of your partner in the shower while you're lazing around in the comfy king sized bed!! THERE ARE NO HEAVY BLOCK OUT CURTAINS OR BLINDS.
