Nestled amongst spectacular wetlands and bushland is Horizons Golf Course, a par 72, 18-hole championship golf course. The course offers challenges and rewards for players of all standards, who also enjoy the abundance of wildlife, including many kangaroos and native birds. Enjoy a day out on the scenic course, and when you're ready to explore the local area, you're just over 2km from Salamander Shopping Centre and Tavern or a 10-minute drive to Nelson Bay for boutique shopping, award-winning restaurants and the marina, where dolphin watch cruises depart daily.

Perfect for a golfing getaway or Port Stephens holiday, Villa 124 overlooks the golf course and is set up for both singles and couples. Relax over a BBQ on the patio after a game of golf and watch the sunset. You may even see some of our local kangaroos.

Inside, you'll find air-conditioned living with a flat screen TV, Foxtel with entertainment and sports package, and a DVD player with surround sound, plus a kitchen with microwave, hotplate and an oven, and a gas BBQ on the patio for outdoor dining. There are 2 bedrooms, each with their own ensuite featuring a combined spa bath and shower. One bedroom features a queen bed and king single bed, plus a TV, and the other bedroom has 2 king single beds that can be joined. Guests also have access to an external shared laundry with washer and dryer, and one off-street car space.

Summary: Four of us stayed for 2 nights to play golf and will definitely be back! The villa is right on the 10th tee, comfy beds, plenty of lounge space, big TV and Foxtel, nice kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. Great covered deck to sit and watch the afternoon go by with a beverage, even have a BBQ. A key box would be handy to avoid the extra drive into Nelson Bay to pick up the keys, and again to drop them back the opposite way after leaving.
