Our shack is only 2 hours from Adelaide. Located in the quaint town of Port Broughton it provides the perfect location to relax, unwind and have a quiet break. Our shack is comfortable and tidy but please note it is still a ‘work in progress’, particularly the backyard – see photos.
Port Broughton is small town but it has a lot to offer. Watch magnificent sunsets, enjoy the coastal walk to Fisherman’s Bay, check out the Jetty, try your luck at fishing/crabbing, or dine at the local pub, restaurant or café.
Port Broughton also provides a base to explore the Yorke Peninsula, southern Flinders ranges and neighbouring Clare Valley wine region.
The space
The shack is located across the road from the best beach in Port Broughton and about a 10 minute walk to the main street / pub / cafes and IGA.
Our shack sleeps 6 people across 2 bedrooms. Features include:
- A range of amenities for children including - highchair, cot, toys, board games books, colouring, a large blackboard outside with chalk.
- Open plan kitchen/living and dining with a 6-seater table and high-chair.
- Kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, microwave and coffee machine.
- Lounge with TV, board games, a selection of toddler toys and books
- Basic but functional clean bathroom.
- Brand new aircon (heating & cooling)
- Front bedroom with queen bed + ceiling fan
- Back bedroom with bunks, queen and cot + AC (heating & cooling) and ceiling fan.
- Fully enclosed backyard with dining table, couch, BBQ and blackboard for the kids.
- Basic laundry with older model washing machine (no dryer), drying rack and clothes line (in back yard).
Basic amenities are supplied including salt, pepper, oil, sugar, minimal tea and coffee. The IGA within the town is well stocked and can provide you with most of your needs.

Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire property excluding a locked storage room within the house and a locked cupboard in the kitchen. Access to the sheds is also not permitted.
Other Things to Note
There is no WIFI at the property. There is however good Telstra/Optus/Vodafone 4G coverage at the property.
The shack is over 50 years old and has its fair share of flaws. The floors are a little uneven and occasionally things may break. We kindly ask for your understanding and to let us know about any problems that may arise.
The paving under the carport is quite uneven therefore we ask you take special care when walking around (especially with young children and the elderly). This place is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly.
