Positive: Easy and swift communication with friendly staff. Well sized bedrooms, clean bed linen, nice big fireplace.

Negative: The downstairs furniture looks quite used and tired. A coffee table near the couch had a broken panel sticking out … so, we had to be careful not to bump into it or cut ourselves on it. Some essentials were missing in the kitchen: Salt and pepper, cooking oil, a working lighter to start a fire in the fireplace (… there were a broken lighter and only a few matches). On arrival, we encountered quite a few big blow flies flying around in the house and big ants crawling around in the downstairs living area but we could not find any fly spray to take care of the problem. Furthermore, the fan in the bathroom was broken. Taking a shower, therefore, turned the bathroom into a steam bath.
