Positive: Gorgeous old cottage with lots of character. Plenty of space and thoughtful host who left a nice bottle of wine and some snacks for us.
Negative: We enjoyed eating out as well as eating in. A few bit more crockery and tea towels would have been helpful. (We had to raid the drawers in another room to locate tea towels). And some smaller plates and bowls for toast and cereal in the morning would have been good. And steak knives for the BBQ. But otherwise it was terrific. Loved having a dishwasher and coffee machine and well stocked. Much appreciated. Ooh, one more thing. There are red back spiders outside. To the left of the door for the old cottage. I think they are living in the ceiling/awning cracks. We saw at least 3 up there or coming down. They didn’t bother us at all, but just in case there are kids around..
Summary: Fabulous! I would love to stay there again if possible.
