Positive: Nice quiet street in great location. Close enough to transport and facilities, far enough to not be in the thick of it. The house was lovely, with nice garden. Beds were comfy. It stayed nice and cool during heatwave (and has air con). Kitchen was well appointed.

Negative: The third bedroom is located in a separate studio with an ensuite, which wasn’t clear in the listing description. This setup wasn’t ideal for us given our younger children, though it would likely suit families with teenagers. Unfortunately, the house didn’t feel properly prepared for our arrival. There was a large pile of dirty laundry left in one of the closets, the BBQ cover was crumpled on an outdoor chair rather than covering the BBQ, and there was minimal toilet paper with no dishwasher detergent provided. Given we paid premium summer pricing, this felt below expectations. The windows were locked, and the only way to have them unlocked was for the owner to attend the property, which didn’t work for us. Some of the information in the house guide also appeared to relate to a different property, which caused confusion. On arrival, the fridge contained leftover items including condiments, beer, wine, halloumi, and other miscellaneous food, which made the property feel less thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Overall, while the house itself is lovely, the presentation and preparation felt unfinished for the price paid. This seems more an issue with property management than the home itself. To their credit, management was responsive once these concerns were raised, and hopefully these issues are addressed for future guests.
